Anticipation

I haven't been so excited since I can't remember when. Michael, my little brother, get home from his mission tomorrow!! For the past week, especially as the day of his arrival is drawing nearer, I have felt like a kid at Christmas. Which is so much fun. As an adult not to many things get me so excited and I can hardly wait. I wonder if he'll be a little nerdy weird, or a little heavier, or thinner or what. I really haven't seen many pictures of him since he left and I'm so excited to see him. I have been planning out my kids outfits, and the girls hairdo's and mine for the airport. Silly I know but they have changed so much since we last saw him, and he has never even seen Anna. It reminds me of how lucky I am to have a good family

Stash

My kids love chocolate chips. They frequently raid the pantry to find them. When they do they find scissors, cut the top off and go at it. This is a scene I have come upon many times, and we have started hiding the chocolate chips, and they still sometimes find them. So the other day I was putting Lexie's jammies aways and found this. I thought it was funny.

Upon further investigation, Andrew was actually the culprit, which makes sense he is the one with a true love affair with chocolate chips. Many other treats he is uninterested in, but chocolate chips he's going to stash them for later. I love the funny things they do and the joy, interest, and excitement my children add to my life!

Lexie

I have been working on getting some photos of my kids for awhile now. It is disheartening when you take like 150 and get only 1 good one. This may be an exaggeration but you know what I mean, I'm sure. So anyway I would like a vote on which photo of Lexie is better one or two. All comments welcomed! Somewhat of a lame blog, but Nicole you asked for a new blog so this is what I have been doing.

Tribute to Abbey

This is Abbey, my parents dog. They got here after my childhood dog died when I was in my first year at college. This is Michael's dog. She has been sick for a long time and they finally had to have her put down yesterday. They were hoping she would make it until Michael got home. My Dad had to carry her into the garage the other night as she didn't have the strength to walk. I talked to my mom yesterday and for as much as they say they don't like pets, she was so sad. Abbey was a good dog and she will be missed.

Late Night Snack

I am a night owl. I have tried to become a morning person but I'm not. Last night I was up late doing Laundry and editing pictures in photoshop. Andrew came downstairs and 12:30 AM with a bowl of popcorn and just sat with me. When we went upstairs a few minutes later, he said he needed a jelly sandwich and some milk. Sometimes I need a late night snack too, so I indulged him. It was one of those special moments. I can't tell you what was special about it, just the feeling I had and the happiness I felt in my little boy. One day he won't be little anymore and I won't get to make jelly sandwiches in the middle of the night. After he was done he announced he was going to bed and climbed down and went to bed.
