Bosch vs Kitchen Aid

What to you think which mixer do you prefer, Kitchen Aid or Bosch? I grew up with a Bosch. When I got married I got a Kitchen Aid. Kithchen Aid is fun with all its colors and such, but, hands down the Bosch is the better tool in the kitchen. Every time I make cookies with my Kithen Aid stuff goes everywhere. Granted I am not the cleanest cook in the world and my delcious cookie recipe makes six dozen but still, it just isn't quite big enough. I realize we have the option of halving the recipe but come on if you are going to the trouble of making cookies why half the batch. Plus we can really put away the cookies in my family. Perhaps we'll make some today. The other reason I like the Bosch better, you have your blender attatched, and it is a super powerful blender; no unblended ice chunks in smoothies with the Bosch. I think in 9 years I am on my 3rd blender. First, the motor busted. Second, the actual pictcher busted and the replacement pitcher was as expensive as a new blender. So on to blender #3. I really want a Bosch but can't justify buying one when my mixer works fine. I've been informed if I start making homemade bread, the motor on my Kitchen Aid will wear out in no time, so bring on the bread! Plus who doesn't love homemade bread. The verdict for me is BOSCH all the way. So if you are looking for a mixer, just getting married, debating on your mixer choices go with the Bosch. If your never going to use your mixer it the first place, get what ever is cheapestor skip it all together.

Why I love my kiddos

As I propped up my pillow tonight I discovered these "prayer rocks." I'm not sure which cutie put them there or if it was a combination of my two oldest. They were effective in doing their job. These are the little things that make being a parent so fun. Love you kids!

Joys of Motherhood

This post is best minus the picture. I was folding laundry when Anna came and got me, "Mom, Lexie needs you." She has the cutest voice by the way. So I go to the bathroom where Lexie is, and she with hands up fingers spread, toilet paper sticking to one hand, "Mom, I got poop everywhere." Indeed she did. Nothing better than cleaning poop off of hands. Yuck. She's in the shower. Despite the sarcasm, I do love being a mom. It is work, and sometimes thankless. At least it wasn't smeared crib poop which I'm sure some have experienced; that, is the worst, for sure.

So awhile back this was all over Fox News. A urologist in Florida posted this on the front door to his office. I thought is was hilarious and good comedy. People were outraged by it. The doctor didn't honestly refuse care to anyone, he was just exercising his free speech. Not sure I would have done it, as it probably isn't good business sense. By the way, if you don't think health care is a business, think again. It is. I work in it, and the bottom line is always the dollar. So the trick is delivering the best care for the best price, which is best for everyone. I'm with this guy though, government administered health care, not good for anyone. I don't know a physician who thinks it is a good idea.

The other funny thing, I was watching Fox News. I'm admittedly not as informed as maybe I should be. I just sometimes find the news depressing and they repeat and beat a dead horse so much it can be a little too much. I catch snippets here and there and spend a little time talking with Michael or Jason and I'm up to date. This comes at a price. If you are not abreast on your current events when talking with my brothers, you are basically a moron. So I'm sure I am moron status in their eyes. It is ok, I know a few things they don't. They probably disagree. I digress. Just found this funny, and I am grateful to live in a land we can all exercise our freedoms.
