The Morning 5

- Get Dressed
- Eat Breakfast
- Say prayers
- Brush teeth
- Make Bed
The list has no particular order we just try and have it done while it is still considered morning hours and I think it sets a good tone for the day. Now the real test for all things in my life is the consistency part, wish us luck cause we need all we can get.

Confessions
- I forgot to brush my teeth this morning and when I finally realized it, due to the obscene amount of fur on my teeth, I did not rush to brush them. In my defense I was out, and unable to go straight for the toothbrush. But still, fur equals DISGUSTING, as Lexie would say, and that is a confession worthy of a post itself but not likely to happen. I will share part not all the DISGUSTING details.
- On a daily basis I am stopped in my tracks because I may wet my pants. I think I have shared parts of this ailment on my blog before but really I should see someone about this, as it truly is effecting my life.
- I developed arm acne shortly after Anna was born. She is 2 and a half. Why have I not been to see a dermatologist? I have insurance, I can handle the copay. This is just crazy but I am happy to report March 3rd baby, maybe there is an end in sight.
- I hate the,"I over ate feeling." I feel sick and wonder why I would ruin a good meal by ending it with that. I did it tonight and felt sick all evening.
- I enjoy cooking and probably think I am better at it than I am. But people if you don't have kosher salt in your kitchen get some, today. It makes all the difference.
- When I go to target, we get popcorn and a Mountain Dew for the tour of the store. It keeps my kids happy and me as well.
- I am rarely happy with my hair.
- I cry easily and frequently.
- I want a St. Bernard Puppy real bad. I know they are huge and slobbery and work, but they are cute and I have wanted a dog for about nine years.
- I enjoy writing, it is cathartic for me. It would be my dream to have a newspaper column or whatever and get paid to ramble my crazy thoughts.

Gratitude Journals

In 2008 I started Gratitude journals with the kids. We were pretty faithful about it for that first year, but it really dwindled in 2009. We are trying to get back into the swing of things and tonight was Anna's first time here is her list:
- Babies
- Teddy Bears
- A big Baby
- Lexie's baby
- A little baby
She loves babies. At the sitters we go to, Miss Sylvia, there are a few babies and she LOVES them. I remember loving babies as a little girl and still do. I could just eat them up. Anyhow I just wanted to remember her list and her wanting to be a part of the tradition. She was a little miffed when I tried to finish out the night time routine without asking for her list. I love you Annie and we should always remember to count our many blessings. I'm headed to write my list now.
(maybe one day we will write our list in a cool Italian leather bound journal, don't you think those are neat looking?)

Technology
So a few months back I got an i-phone. My old phone SUCKED. Sorry for the language, as I don't particularly care for the word but none other will do. It dropped calls. Not just a few, almost all calls especially if they were longer than 90 seconds. I am a phone person. I am chatty, I get it from my mother who is "chatty" Kathy. Both my sisters are chatty. A 90 second phone conversation is just not going to cut it for the chatty. Anyhow, I am a fan. I love the phone I feel Apple makes a superior product than most and I am a fan for life. It has been very user friendly for the non techy to use, it has honestly made aspects of my life better and more organized. I love the convenience it provides, the ability to tell the name and artist of a song I like, give directions when lost, and help me immediately connect to loved ones in my life. But...
